Moving on to cheerful things. :)

We are all just trying to get through the next couple of weeks, now that we know J and D are going. Their mom told us that she still wants them to see us. We are all devastated, but at the same time we're glad that we got to be a part of their life for so long.

Anyway, moving on to more cheerful things, Brooke really liked her birthday presents.
I got her the music book to one of her favorite cd's, "Three Wooden Crosses", I also got her a bookmark that has the footprints poem on it, another bookmark that has a cute little saying about sisters on it, and an itunes gift card.

There's something in the mail for her from my mom that hasn't gotten here yet.

Today I went to P.E., we're playing basketball right now.
My team name is the Panda's. Kinda dorky I know, but we couldn't think of anything else.

I did pretty good, I made four baskets. We we're winning by a ton, then all of the sudden half way through the game, they got a second wind or something and beat us.:(
It was still a lot of fun though.

Anyway, I have to help get the baby's ready for dinner.
(It's only like 5 something I know but the baby's didn't have long enough naps today so we're trying for early bedtimes.)

God knows

J and D, the 21 month old and 5 year old we've been trying to adopt, they're mom had a home inspection today, she passed and is getting them back in the next 13 days.

We are all very upset. We knew it would probably happen, but nothing would have prepared us for actually knowing for sure.
We've had D for 11 month's. She learned to walk, she said her first word, "Hi", and attached to each and every one us. We've had J since November, but it seems like we've had her forever.

Their mom wants us to still see them, and she knows their very attached to us. So we'll be able to still keep an eye on them and make sure they're ok.

We know God has a plan, and even though we don't understand it, we know He has a reason.

"The eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him,
upon those who hope in his mercy.
Our soul waits for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.

Today

Well, we still have A. And we still don't know how long we'll have her for. You usually never know but I guess a couple of family members stepped forward to try and get her. We don't know if they're going to work out though.

Anyway, today since it stopped raining, we all went on a walk. We have a little wagon for the girls that they all love going in.
There's another foster mom that lives a couple of blocks away from us, she has a little baby and two little boys, so we went by her house and let the girls play for a while.
She's adopting the little baby she has. The little baby is so cute! She's really, really tiny.

Brooke's birthday is on Monday, she's going to be 15! I wish I could post what I got her but I don't want to take a chance of her reading it. She's going to love it though!

I am actually only reading one book for fun right now. I'm very proud of myself by the way, finished the other one I was reading. So now it's just my history book, my literature book, and Ishmael(that's the book for fun).

Anyway, the baby's are sleeping and J is busy with A Bug's life(the movie), so I'm going to go and finish a movie we've been trying to watch for the last 4 days.

Oh, yeah, and by the way, referring to my wonderfully creative title of this post ;), I couldn't think of anything else. :)

Cya!

Funny little people

It's amazing what little kids will come up with, and how they'll never cease to amaze you.

Last Friday we went and picked up a two year old little girl. A, our new little girl, has been such a blessing. She can be very demanding and loud, but at the same time she's funny and adorable with all her curls and dimple's , and no matter what, she can always make you smile.

Yesterday A was playing outside with J and D (our other little girls), and she went up to my dad, pointed at the sky and asked,

"What's that?", my dad told her it was the moon and then she said, "Get it!", my dad then told her, "I can't get it", A then asked him, "Too big?", "Yeah, it's to big", he answered,"Oh, ok", A said.

D who is about 5 months younger then A and loves doing everything she does, is picking up on a lot of new words from her. They love talking to each other in the morning over their cheerios , both of them sitting in their highchairs laughing and begging me to duck behind the counter for peek-a-boo.

J, who is 5, loves having another little playmate in the house. She also loves seeing some of her old dresses on A.

A's mom called and said that she has a godmother who is seeing if she can get her. She doesn't know if she can though, and she likes A being in our house and with a big family.

So we don't know how long we'll have A for, but we know that she'll be a blessing through all the craziness. The loading in car seats, the noisy meals, and the early mornings. We may only have her for a short time, but we still thank God that our phone rang last Friday.

"Children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit
of the womb is his reward.
As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are children of one's youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them."
Psalm 127:3-4

New baby!

We finally got a baby!

Well, sort of, she's 2.

We got her yesterday, the county called us and said their was a two year old little girl who needed a home, so we went and picked her up.

She is so cute!

She's got thick, blond curly hair and olive skin. She's also got about ten dimple's on her face when she smiles!:)

She's REALLY tall and big. She just turned two last November, but she looks more like a big three year old!

She talks in complete sentences and asks about everything. She loves being held too.
It nice too because she's a good sleeper, even on her first night with us!

We don't know how long we'll have her for, her mom has court next week and a family member could get her, but we'll keep her for as long as we can.

Anyway, it's been really warm here. Well, not really warm, but considering just last week it was in in the high 40's to early 50's, 70 is pretty warm!

I finished the book I was reading Left Behind a couple days ago. Finally!
I'm now reading Ishmael, it's one of the Lamplighter publishing books, and I really like it, I'm not that far into it, but it's really good.

I gotta go, just wanted to post our good news!:)

Better.

Everyone is better now. So that's good.
We're getting back to school(we took a break while everyone was sick).

I'm just realizing how much stuff I have to get done! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

I'm starting to pour through all my books and read the books I've been wanting to read for a LONG time.

I've got a few chapters left in Left Behind, then I thing I'm going to read Ishmael. Brooke and my mom read it and said that it was one of the best books they ever read. So I figured I might as well read it!

I might reread Not My Will. That's the best I've ever read. Well, so far anyway.

I need to finish some of my history books too.

Anyway, my blanket is kinda going south. It keeps curving. So then I do a row of loose stitches, and it still curves. I already had to take out three rows! So, I guess I have to see how it's going to turn out!

I'm also making a blue baby blanket. Making baby blankets are pretty easy. I've made one already. It's really pretty, it's got baby blue, baby pink, and light yellow in it.

I like making them and keeping them for when I have a family and can use them on my own kids.

Anyway, I have to go get some of that stuff done!

Been a while

Wow, I haven't posted in a while.

My whole family has been sick.

Anyway, as I said in the last post we went to see August Rush, it was really good!

We sometimes go see movies on Thursday's. The two little girls we have now have a visit with their mom then. I think we might go see There Will Be Blood soon.

Thursday's are our busiest days. We have an appointment in the early afternoon for the five year old girl, then straight from there we take them to go see their mom, then we pick them up 4 hours later. Whew!
Oh, yeah, and at 8, my mom, my sister, my brother, and I watch Smallville on the CW.

We've been watching Smallville for a little over a year now.
We watched the first 5 seasons on dvd, then the sixth season we got off the internet.
The seventh season is on tv now.

Anyway, I started crocheting a blanket.
It's really fun.

The yarn I chose is light blue, light brown, and dark brown. Sounds kinda weird I know.
But it looks really pretty. After Brooke is better I'll take a picture of it and post it.

I gotta go, Cya!
