Brrrrrr.....cold

It's freezing!!!!!

It's been raining off and on the last few days, and finally, last night, it snowed!
Well, I mean not like a big snowstorm or anything, but there was some light snow on the ground.

It was even snowing this morning!

Anyway, we still don't have a baby.

We've been waiting by the phone and jumping every time it rings, but still no baby.
We know we'll get one sometime though.

We're going to the movies later.

We're going to see August rush. It's at the dollar theater. I've wanted to see it since it came out in November.
It looks really good.

Anyway, I'm working on putting some pictures up.

I keep forgetting! I put some avatars up though. I figured out how to do that.

Well,with a little help from my sister Brooke!

Disappointing

We've had a disappointing week.

First we were called on the 6 month old baby boy, then we didn't get him. Then on Friday, the very next day, we were called on another baby.
A 3 day old brand new baby girl. After we got the call the lady from our foster care agency said that there was a placement meeting and the we would get another call from her telling us when to pick her up (the baby was still at the hospital).

So we waited, and waited, and waited. And finally, two hours after we were supposed to know something, my mom called the lady and the lady said that a grandma showed up at the placement meeting and wanted the baby. She got her, and we lost our second baby in a little over 24 hours.


We know there's a baby out there somewhere that's supposed to be with our family, we just don't know when God is going to give him or her to us.

I Am Legend

We just saw I Am Legend.

Oh my gosh, I almost had a heart-attack!

It was so scary! It was pretty gross too. I was like jumping every two minutes. I had to keep my jacket in front of my face a lot!

My mom thought it was going to be kinda like War of the Worlds(the one with Tom Cruise).
She was wrong, War of the Worlds was like Cinderella compared to this!

I mean I didn't think it was a bad movie, it's more like you see it, then in another year if your in the mood for barely being able to breath for about two hours, you might think about seeing it again.
I thought it had a really good ending though.

Anyway, as you can see I don't have pictures up yet. I wasn't able to do them. I'm hoping to soon though.

Today we kind of had a depressing day.

We were really close to getting a baby for foster care ,then we lost it, it didn't work out.

It was a boy too! Me and my sister have wanted a boy for a long time, We've had just girls so far.

Of course we are all really disappointed and sad, we were so close to getting him.

But, I guess God has a different baby in mind for us.

Wow

Man I haven't posted in a while.

I have been busy trying to get back in to school and a new schedule and everything.

I wanted to post last night,but my mom came home from homeschool moms meeting,and I guess she was sitting next to someone who had cats,so she was really sick.
My mom is severely allergic to cats. Last night she kept coughing and had really bad asthma.

Anyway,today we're going to Best Buy.
We got a gift card from my uncle for Christmas to go there. It's pretty awesome, every year he gives us a gift card for somewhere.
I think I want to buy a case for my ipod nano, or maybe a movie something.

I just figured out how to put pictures up on here, so tomorrow I'm hoping to post some pictures.

I"ll probably put some up of my mom and me and my sister(she has the My Life So Far blog)
and my brother Brandon too(he's the genius one).

Alright,I gotta go do some math.

Reading

Oh,man,I am reading sooo many books right now.

I try to have for history,one for literature or language or something, and then one for fun.
That's my goal but I usually end up with about twice that much!

I find a great book I want to read (which isn't that hard ,we pretty much have at least two bookshelves in each room of my house!) and then I just start it,and pretty soon I'm hooked!

Well,I guess it doesn't matter how many books you're reading, just as long as you read. I know lots of people that hate reading. I don't understand them. :)

I do like to read a lot of books at once. That way, if you get to a slow part in one of the books, and you feel like a change of scenery, you can just pick up one of the other books you're reading.

My family and I have had a crazy week.

Most of my family is sick right know though.

I'm usually the only one in the house that doesn't get sick when we're passing colds around.

Sometimes I'll feel like I'm getting a cold. I'll have a sore throat one day, then the next day wake up fine.

Anyway, gotta go!

The Pretender

My brother got the first season of the show The Pretender for Christmas,and it is sooooooo good!

It was on about 10 or 12 years ago and lasted about four seasons I think, plus two made-for-tv-movies. Anyway, it's about this guy, and when he was little he was taken from his parents by this research facility for his computer-like mind, so basically he was a genius,and when he was older he escaped.

So whole trying to find his parents and more about what happened when he was first taken from them, and at the same time being chased by people from The Centre, (that's what the research facility is called) he goes around and helps people by pretending to be someone. Because he's a genius he can become anyone, like a doctor or a firefighter or something. And while he's pretending to be someone else he solves a mystery,or helps the people involved.

It's soooo good!

We have about two episodes left in the first season, so tomorrow we have to go buy the second season!

I'm Tired.

Wow,I'm tired.

Today I went to P.E. It's in basketball now. We're also doing cross country.(blah) So I had to run a lot.

Like halfway through running I felt like my lungs we're going to explode. Plus I forgot my inhaler(I have mild asthma) so after running I sometimes start wheezing,so I'll use an inhaler,but I could't today,because I forgot it!

I don't know what it is but when I'm rushing through the door to get somewhere,I have a feeling that I'm forgetting something, but I have no idea what it is. Then I remember when the car's like five minutes down the road! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Anyway,today I also started school. Surprisingly I got pretty much everything done.
I thought I wasn't going to get my history reading done, but luckily, I read it all in the car.
That's one of the nice things about homeschooling,you can do your school on the run!

For history right know I'm reading The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane. I really like it, it's very interesting and keeps your attention. It's not a hard read so I can probably finish it soon.(hopefully!)


Whenever we go on road trips or something, I promise myself I'm going to read a ton and finish the five or six books I've got going now ,and then, once we start driving, I look out the window or start listening to music,and then, before I know it, we're they're!
That happens all the time!

Anyway, I'm tired, TTFN!!!!!

Church today

You know this posting things getting a little easier!
I thought when I first started(which was like yesterday!) that I would have nothing to talk about, now, I'm finding tons of stuff I can post!(don't worry,I won't post them all at once!)

Anyway, today we went to church. We just started going to the church we are going to now about 3 months ago. We all really like it. They have a good youth group and a college group for my brother which we wanted.My parents like the pastor too.

Anyway today was communion Sunday. The church got to talk to a pastor who moved with his wife to Siberia to be missionaries. They had him over the speakers so you could hear what he was saying. It was three in the morning Siberia time!(talk about being a night owl!)

The missionary guy in Siberia said that it was 5 below 0 there! And I complain when it drops below 50! The guy said that the village he lived in had a central heating system for all the houses and it only cost them about $4.00 a month!(wouldn't that be nice!)

Anyway that was me today!(or part of the day anyway)

My first post!!!

Hey everybody!
This is obviously my first post, so stay with me,I'll get the hang of it!

For more information about me,read my profile on the right,I don't have a picture up yet,but I have to ask one of my siblings to help me with that.

I didn't mention this in my profile but pretty much anything to do with the computer,I can't do.
I'm getting better at it but it's a slow and steady progress. Everytime anything pops up or something, I think the computers blowing up. I'm totally serious. I needed a ton of help to even start this blog!

Anyway,today we went to the mall. Always fun.(sarcasm) Most girls like going shopping,but I don't really. Part of the reason is, is that I'm about 6 feet tall,so pretty much all the cute clothes I see that I would love to get,don't fit. I don't understand how they can have a big & tall men's shop but not one for women.Women can be tall too right? There are tall women's shoppes on the web but you basically have to have about a gagillion dollars to even buy a t-shirt.
Old Navy has long shirts but most of them are shirts that I would never dream of wearing.

So,now you know I'm tall.
